Pfizer / TRCC Event

Diba Khan-Bureau and Ed Natoli hosted a group of international middle school and high school teachers on June 28th.  This workshop investigated water quality by going out in Harris Brook, part of the Eightmile river watershed in Salem, and performing a rapid bio-assessment (collecting insect larvae). Lab work consisted of utilizing monitoring probes to test water quality as well as using microscopes to identify insects (ethnic macro invertebrates). This event was sponsored by Pfizer and hosted by Three Rivers Community College. Three STRONG-CT students Larry Turley, Paula Jackson, and Denise Zevetchin assisted and participated in this event.
